SPERAN screw compressors are available as box-type cabinets, two-in-one compressor and tank packages, and four-in-one stations with refrigerated dryer and filtration. Each configuration is offered in fixed-speed or permanent-magnet VFD drive.

Fixed speed
Best when air demand is high and stable. The motor runs at grid frequency; pressure is managed by load/unload or start-stop. Capital cost is typically lower for base-load plants.
Permanent magnet VFD
Motor speed tracks real demand for smoother pressure and better part-load efficiency. Soft starts (~1.2× rated current) reduce grid impact versus direct-on-line starts.
IP23 vs IP54/IP55 motor protection
IP23 is intended for clean, dry rooms. IP54/IP55 better resists dust and splash—critical for many factory floors. Specifying the right protection grade reduces maintenance and downtime risk.

What is the difference between fixed-speed and PM VFD screw compressors?
Fixed-speed units run at grid frequency and control pressure mainly by load/unload. Permanent-magnet VFD units change motor speed to match air demand, improving part-load efficiency and pressure stability.
